I have worked with so many brilliant, self-aware women who have spent years trying to think their way to their purpose. They have journaled pages and pages. They have done every personality assessment available. They have created vision boards and written mission statements and asked every mentor they could find.

And they are still stuck.

I want to tell you something that changed everything for the women I work with: purpose is not a mental exercise. It is an energetic one.

The mind is not the right tool for this

The mind is extraordinary at solving problems, at planning, at analysis. But your soul purpose does not live in those faculties. It lives in the body. In the field. In the quiet spaces between thoughts. In the moments when you are so fully yourself that you forget to perform.

When you try to think your way to purpose, you end up with the ego’s version of purpose — a carefully constructed answer that sounds good but does not actually move you. You end up with a purpose that fits the life you think you should be living, rather than the life your soul is genuinely calling you toward.

What blocks the signal

Imagine your soul purpose as a radio signal. It is always broadcasting. The question is whether you can receive it.

When your root chakra is carrying unprocessed fear — when you do not feel safe, when survival anxiety is running in the background — the signal cannot land. When your solar plexus is collapsed from years of people pleasing and self-doubt, the channel is too congested. When your sacral centre is shut down from shame or emotional suppression, the creative intelligence that knows your purpose cannot flow.

This is why the energetic work always comes first. Not as a detour from purpose — as the direct route to it.

What actually works

Give the call space to speak. Five minutes of genuine stillness in the morning. Not scrolling. Not planning. Just being. You will be surprised what surfaces when you stop filling every moment.

Pay attention to what moves you. What makes you want to cry and create and serve all at once. What you could talk about for hours without running out of things to say. These are not coincidences. They are your soul’s fingerprints.

And do the energetic work. Clear the ground. Because purpose is not something you find. It is something you uncover — and it has been waiting under the noise all along.
