2-min quiz that reveals exactly what your next step is

What your soul is asking of you when a life challenge demands everything.

In Part 1, I shared that some of our biggest life challenges are karmic resolutions — old patterns, sometimes many lifetimes old, finally ready to be completed. This is the part about actually moving through one.

Your soul calling is not always comfortable

We tend to imagine our soul calling as the work we are here to do. Yet our calling is larger than our vocation. It is also the person we are becoming.

Sometimes the calling asks us to become visible, to lead, to soften and trust. And sometimes it asks us to stand absolutely firm in our truth — to set boundaries, protect what is sacred, or face a situation we would give anything to avoid. These moments rarely look spiritual from the outside. They can involve difficult conversations, professional support, legal processes, practical changes to everyday life. Yet our deepest spiritual initiations unfold through very human circumstances.

Sometimes the calling isn’t an invitation to do more. Sometimes it is the call to stop repeating what your soul came here to complete.

Intuition and fear can exist at the same time

When intuition leads us toward a difficult truth, we may feel fear, grief and certainty all at once. The presence of fear doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path. It may simply mean the path requires you to step beyond an old pattern of safety. The deeper question is always: beneath the fear, what do I know?

Intuition speaks with quiet consistency. It doesn’t create panic or argue with you. It returns you to the same truth, again and again, until you’re ready to act on it.

And when life becomes emotionally intense, intuition shouldn’t work alone. Lean on therapists, doctors, lawyers, mentors — whoever the situation genuinely requires. Spiritual wisdom and practical action belong together.

This is not spiritual bypassing

Seeing a challenge as karmic never excuses harmful behaviour. It doesn’t mean staying in an unsafe situation because someone is supposedly your karmic teacher, and it doesn’t mean forcing gratitude while you are still hurting.

You are allowed to grieve. You are allowed to be angry. You are allowed to ask for help, to protect yourself and those entrusted to your care, and to say: this pattern ends here. That may, in fact, be the resolution.

Compassion can hold boundaries. Forgiveness can exist without reconciliation. Sometimes the most spiritually aligned choice is also the clearest and most practical one.

The initiation within the challenge

Every profound challenge carries an invitation. It may be to reclaim your voice, to stop seeking permission, to trust your intuition more deeply than ever before, or to become the protector you once needed.

The new choice may feel unfamiliar at first — your nervous system is used to the old pattern, and anything else registers as danger. This is where spiritual embodiment begins. You are no longer simply aware of your truth. You are living it.

Questions for personal reflection

If you are moving through a major life challenge right now, give yourself space to sit with these:

  • What deeper pattern is this experience revealing?
  • Where have I met this emotional dynamic before?
  • What is my soul asking me to do differently now?
  • What boundary, truth or action is required?
  • What practical or professional support would help me move through this safely?
  • What becomes possible if this pattern truly ends with me?

Some karmic resolutions unfold through a single defining choice. Others complete gradually, through many small decisions that keep affirming the same thing: I will no longer abandon myself here.

Your life is part of the teaching

Sometimes the challenge we never wanted takes us deeper into our soul calling than the path we so carefully planned. Your calling may already be present in the way you are walking through the storm.

Every time you choose consciousness over repetition, truth over fear, and self-trust over self-abandonment, you are completing an old story. You are answering the calling of your soul — and opening a new path, for yourself and for everyone who comes after you.
